Finally managed to do some more work on the Regner that my late Pal JJ left me, and give it a few runs.
Putting gauze on the burner has quietened down the howling, but it is still a touch finicky.
It is at it's limit with this load, which I was a touch surprised about, it isn't very lively really, I'm wondering if the ptfe piston 'rings' were made well enough, JJ did this before he passed away and I didn't check...d'oh. the valve setting is fine. Still, looks OK for that sort of thing, can't say I'd chose to buy one, the dimensions are a bit odd, but it is a nice memory of JJ.
