Has anyone ever contacted regner and heard back? I'm using some of their parts from lumberjack for a gauge 3 tram and need the dimensions of between centres from the axle to idle gear shaft and that shaft to the steam motor bracket as I will have some frames drawn and laser cut. Have e mailed them but not heard back...
 
I have been told by several Germans that they even have a reputation in Germany for having erratic customer service, sometimes being really helpful other times seeming to be as difficult as possible.
 
I have had very poor response from Regner in responding to emails. Basically they didn't and I've read others having similar problems! Only way to get a response was by phone, once spoken to by phone they were promptly helpful.

I could measure up my Lumber Jack for you but it wouldn't be accurate enough for laser cutting frames I'm sorry.
 
Thanks all I may call of contact martins models. I e mailed them a few years ago about something different and never got a reply!
 
I have a Lumberjack here for repairs, I will measure the C to C of the idler and axle and get the motor spacing. I'll do it when I pull the boiler back off again to replace some pipework.

Question, are you buying a full kit to make it or thinking of just ordering what you need? Either way good luck on your build. I had thoughts of making a Lumberjack heisler but its just a pipe dream for now!
 
Ok so I come up with motor to idler .500 but the motor can slide changing the mesh. Idler to axle .745 and no adjustment. Id use a offset bushing so adjust the lash on the gear. These always seem to be very loose and sloppy. All use a 4mm axle
