Rerailer

I am installing a line that is going to go around the ceiling of my porch. Dimension roughly 15x30 and it will be about 8ft wide off the ground. I was thinking of putting in a rerailer from piko. Would it be worth putting in the rerailer and all the rest of the track is LGB would they work together?

I've found that the LGB / Piko rail is compatible, where the big difference is the shape of the sleepers, but that won't matter with a rerailer and if your rail is above the eyeline then you won't notice the difference in sleepers.

The Piko retailer/grade-crossing is a standard LGB 1000 track piece length so fits in with the LGB track geometry.

Whether it would be worth putting in is an open question, as in the normal course of operation on properly laid track, derailments should be very rare. Also, that sort of retailer is only good if a single wheelset or bogie comes off the rail and runs parallel to it along the sleepers.... it's not a universal panace for all types of derailment.
