Thought it sensible to update my earlier posting/pics with the news that I just received the first set of sample resin mouldings for the up-coming Gas-Mech. dress-up kit. Here are some photos showing the mouldings posed on and off my Gas-Mech. model. Items such as the detailed tool tray (lovely!), stowage box, air tank and fuel tank can be located wherever at the builder's discretion.
To those people who have asked, I'm not planning on including a new headlight or exhaust stack. But who knows, replacement mouldings for these may be made available separately from us in the future. For the time being, our large-scale Gas-Mechanical 'dress-up kit' will comprise of the following: 1 x A4-sized photo-etched brass sheet, the resin mouldings pictured here, a bag of lost wax brass grab handles for the cab rear, turned brass handrail posts, brass wire and rod for handrails/piping. Price TBA soon as I get the invoice from the etchers and pro-moulders. Thanks again for your time.

Hi Folks,
First posting from a new member. New to G-scale that is. Pete McParlin here from BACKWOODS MINIATURES. My wife Jen and I have been making narrow gauge kits since 1990 but have now decided to enter the large scale market-place with the release of our first kit - a large scale version of our ever-popular 'dress-up kit' for Bachmann's Gas-Mechanical 0-4-0. We've sold thousands of our On30 version of this kit, so now we're about to unleash its larger bretheren. The kit comprises a sheet of precision photo-etched brass parts and some high quality, pro-moulded resin castings. These components replicate most of what's included in our On30 version. Price TBA very soon. Check our website for details soon. If our venture into large scale proves successful, we'll follow up with more kits in the same vein.
Thanks for your time.
