Reversing Unit Problem

I am having a problem with my 10340 reversing unit. I turn on controller to mid way place loco on track in middle of the section being used loco travels to one end but will not run back again. No matter where I place loco in this section the same thing happens. Any thoughts please, could it be that one of the diodes has gone down.

Peter, if it were the diode, the loco wouldn't stop. It's more likely to be the unit. If you have a rolling road, put the loco onto it and set it running on the revealing track. That way you'll see if the reverser is working.
