RhB Tm 2/2 Tractor -fitting a Hiab Crane

Has any one a photo of one of these with a crane please?

I've acquired a Hiab crane which I would like to fit to the 'platform', but I'm not sure where exactly it would be positioned?

In the middle, closer to the cab or near the hand rails.

I'm also looking for the disassembly instructions if any one can provide a pointer please?

I couldn't find them on Champex-Linden....

The 20 series Tm2/2's don't really have HIAB's in reality but if you take inspiration from the maintenance 90 series Tm's the crane goes at the handrail end so it can reach out further over the track in front. ;)

The 20 series are just motorised shunting platforms for station staff really, with only a handbrake, so they aren't allowed out in the mainline on their own.

Thanks Paul,

I had done some research myself and come to the same conclusion. The 90 series is a much bigger vehicle capable of dragging 3 bogie hopper vehicles. They are also painted in infrastructure yellow livery, where as mine is shunting orange.

When I brought my Tm 2/2, it came with a kit for a Hiab, hence my thinking. I've acquired another built up Hiab since, as, quite frankly, I don't have the time these days for kit building.

I will probably remount the Hiab on a wagon, as I've seen used on an MGB one....

Have sent you a drawing rather than putting in the Forum due to possible copywrite issues.

Probably a scrap dealers wagon and the MGB is being picked up to go to that great car dealership in the sky :wondering:

I used to have an MGB car and I'm thinking about buying one for a play thing.

But in my post I was referring to the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn.

Banter is why this forum is fun....

Very nice, and only 950 Euro........ ;)

Good job it's Swiss, and I don't do Swiss (OK, that's a lie, because I've still got my Heidi...)

Jon.
Me too, bought mine 2nd hand from Steve when he was at the Garden Centre for use on the Ruschbahn. Such a lovely loco with many memories that I could not part with it even though it is way off my East German interests. Though I know the Harz has had a visitor or two, perhaps I can justify Heidi after all.
