Oh Yus!
Very nice Sir. Have fun

You're a lucky lucky lad.....

It's a handsome looking loco, and to my warped mind, even more impressive with a tender.

But I do have to wonder why, with so many unmodelled prototypes, the Doncaster engineers felt compelled to produce another freelance design?

Havig said that, it wouldn't make a scrap of differenc to me 'cos I very obviuosly do US stuff, and I can't afford steamies at the moment.

But it still makes you wonder......................

altogether now.....................

it makes us wonder

(Thank you Rolf harris) :laugh::laugh:

Gave it a brief run over a 3ft length of track earlier. It all seems to work okay, safety valve was lifting quite a bit but it wasn't using much steam up anyway.
I'll wait till tomorrow now where there will be some guys who know what they are doing and can help me with it!
Another pic for you all:

Well after a very succesful day with George today I am very pleased with the loco! Ran perfectly straight away, no glitches or problems, just the b***** kept running out of Gas
The tender drawbar was a bit high causing the front tender axle to be off the rails slightly, and the tender buffer is FAR too low, but someone from Roundhouse is going to look into this for me!
Hauled it's (short) rake of trucks with ease, Just need to finish my coaches off and buy some more to run behind it!

My rather long rake, which it hauled perfectly!:

And as of today, the works name of George has been ditched, in favour of "Osprey", and has gained loco number "2"
Logic behind the name being we visit the Lake district every year, and we make it part of our trip over to go and see the Ospreys at Whinlatter forest, so it means quite a bit to me!

Looks brilliant. Good name, like it - loads of industrial concerns used names of bird, rivers, animals, and the like.

Is that your layout Steven?

Unfortunately not!
It is at York Model Engineering Society, quite a nice little track it is aswell!

Certainly is a cracking layout that.Your engine is beautiful by the way.....Like the name as well......Allan.
