Well my completed video file was empty last night and rather than go out into the cold today and shoot another one, I have done a short compilation from the many I have done over the past 18 months. These are, as the title suggests, all Roundhouse, but part 2 will be Accucraft....

If you slow the video to half speed the chuffers sound just like the real thing......

Thanks guys for the kind words - glad you liked it.

Andy - you are right - when I used to use a PC in my early films (pre Chuffer) I did use some half speed and it does sound good, even with a simple chuff pipe. All of these are edited with iMovie, though, which doesn't offer the facility, so I have never heard a production Chuffer played at half speed.

And of course my problem is that I now think that this IS "the real thing"

Superb bit of editing, and great trains.
I just cannot understand why Roundhouse dont fit Chuffers from new though, even as an optional extra, as the sound improvement is so impressive.

Thanks again guys. I am afraid I can't answer that question - we have a very cordial relationship with the Roundhouse team, but they are not interested in factory fitting Chuffers. I suspect that they have had more than a few requests..........
