Roundhouse Stanley

MRail

16mm etc - Live steam, battery & trams
Country flag
Stanley 41/100 arrived on Tuesday evening, and had his first run on Wednesday.
This was on 32mm gauge as the 45mm line needs some fettling to the R1 check rails to accommodate RH flanges.

I`ve since applied some Trimline:-

Quite jealous really! Wanted one. Missed the boat! :'( :'( :'( Wahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Bob,
I've not forgotten I owe you a visit.
Maybe I'll manage it soon and bring Raedd Gwndwn.
Memsahib's having a few health issues at present, so we're doing the rounds of the local hospital clinics.
Hopefully it'll settle down.

Hi Rob, railway's in bit of a state ATM, it's still suffering some of the ravages of last winter, though that is far from insurmountable and I did manage a few runs over the summer. I've been pushing on hard with the other "G". I still haven't run the new L&M (I like it warm out!)! ;) ;D

Robert,
Your Stanley Green is so much nicer than that Pucy Green they use as standard.,lining really lifts it too.

It's the RH deep bronze green.
I hope the Trimline survives the lub draining down the side panel!
I'll look into hinging the panel, and fitting a drain cock inside.

It looks very good in that colour scheme.

I would like to see what these look like in other colours especially Victorian Maroon.

I can't understand why Roundhouse don't want to make more of them, especially as it is a sort after model on the continent as well as in this country.

Looks excellent. Maybe RH can be persuaded to reissue the reissue? :D

Roundhouse certainly underestimated the demand.
The original was quite a modest seller, barely 100 made.
There was a small repeat batch commissioned by PPS.
This latest batch of 100 was quickly sold out.
RH tell me they could have sold more, but now can't, having announced a certified limited edition.
I did suggest they could make a new design, to a more British outline...

They could change the design, even only slightly, and call it a Stanley 2.

Another item, for those interested in steam trams, though not exclusively...
Derails Models, who supplied my Stanley, are considering a kit for a tram trailer.
They`re assessing potential interest, before starting on a laser cut model.
Tentative subject is the Bern tram here:-

Just found that Atlas Editions have previously marketed  a small scale version of the Bern tram:-
