Running Day At Browns Bay

Second Sunday of the month, so, it must be a running day somewhere for the Wellington Garden Railway Group......

This month, it was Dave A who put his hand up. This is what Dave had set up for our arrival, a few of his own trains, including a yellow Lill train that he got with his vouchers from work when he retired last month.

I took along some Traction for a bit of action, and because I was opening the batting, I had first go as guest runner with my Cable Car, seen here on Wendy's trestle.

One of Dave's trains was soon in action.

The tram soon followed, passengers were scarce on this run.

Evan B turned up unexpectedly (we all thought he was 'somewhere else') and showed off his latest creation for which he had parts laser cut from his own designs.

Not sure how many photos a single post will take, so, like the way JR usually does this post, I'll do it like one of those old Saturday Matinee serials...

Ben C arrived with family, and almost the entire roster of the Pine Valley Estate Railway. Here's the little loco testing the track with a few wagons, just t o make sure they fit.

...they fit.

Time to put a whole train together.

Later, the tram had a go at hauling the stock. That van is a real beauty.

We popped across the road to see Robin G's latest effort.

Not much flat room here, so the set up is on top of the gazebo.

A new member to our group is Paul A, a long standing Marklin fan who has branched out into the world of LGB, which is Marklin owned. He brought along this RhB electric that has a fantastic sound system.

..and to round out the day, some of the guests relaxing after Wendy's sumptuous afternoon tea.

Gavin,
you can do 10 Pictures per post.

You do realise that we all enjoy your super views in the bright sunshine in January. But can someone please export some of your weather over here at this time of the Year? Having said that we have a break in the rain today, so with cold Blue Skies I will be on Bricklaying duties after the Dog has been walked. Where are all Zacs Teddies etc, though that they would have liked a ride on a different Railway?

Zacs teddies would have been asking for trouble as it would have gone from a "do not touch" railway to a full hands on walking on the track railway.

We did have one casualty where Zac dropped our mine tub wagon but nothing a bit of glue won't fix.

Zac also caused some havoc with his CAT loader dropping it on between trains.

Great photographs. Love the small simple wooden trestl.

My laser cut van is a Manx Electric Railway one, number 14 once the paint and decals make an appearance. Next wagon on the list to do is open No 10, eventually I'll get onto tram number 23.

Evan B.

Ah, new blood. Welcome aboard.

By the way, is your best selling book 'How to Shut Down a Peak Hour Metro System in One Easy Lesson' still in print?

Professional Fettler.

But at least he loves Trains!

Can't deny that. His kindergarten teacher apparently had to Google what a turnout and a Westinghouse pump was the other week to know what he was talking about.
Oh dear I just love a belly, tear inducing laugh first thing in the Morning. They clearly do not make Teachers in your neck of the woods with knowledge, just like in good old Blighty.

At about 4.. Nephew was asked, by a Health Visitor, checking on development.. "What comes out of taps?"
His reply.. "Pipes!" - His Dad had fitted a vanity unit in the downstairs 'facility' that weekend.
;):rofl::rofl:
