I followed a link to the '7/8 Lounge' website to read about the new Accucraft 7/8 scale Bagnall loco - but apparently it's a closed site only viewable by registered users.

On the basis that I don't like giving out my e mail more than I have to and their URL has a padlock symbol with a red line through it (also their password box has a warning that 'this connection is not secure - logins here could be compromised') - does anybody here have an opinion as to whether that site is worth joining or not?

I've been on there for a couple of years now. I would recommend it -there are some talented modellers, and given the necessity of scratch- and kit-building in 7/8ths there's always something new to learn or someone to ask for help. Much like this site, the rivet-counters and those with a more relaxed approach to scale and prototype get along just fine.

I'm a member as are a few others. Lots of good stuff so I'd recommend it. Just make sure your login is different to other forums if you're worried about security warnings. You could even set up a one off gmail account to use for it.
