all manner of mechanical apparatus...
I need some goose neck lights ( why they are called Goose neck I have no idea) for the Depot and Per Way yard so I designed these ones. As usual the commercially ones did not look good they have massive bases on them and cost around $60 each, these cost me around $8 each and that includes the silicone molding rubber?. The satisfaction from making my own is priceless?.
I could not use prewired LEDS for these as the resistor would not fit inside the tube so I will power them from a small limited current supply. I did leave the leads long enough to avoid having to solder them after installation.
I have just seem some of these made up by another chap and for shades he used beer bottle caps drilled and soldered to the brass tube. When painted with the fluted edges they do look good.
Now my quest is to find some "art deco' outside lights to put around my Cinema...
For the record the tube bender is a Record No.210
