Could resist posting some photos of my latest purchase. A lot of my locos and stock now have light weathering but this one will not get weathered at all, ever.

Happy polishing :D

I'll send round the Brasso 8D

Sir Topham Hat would be most pleased with the fine state of cleanliness

Depending on what the material is, it can go cloudy itself when exposed to ultra-violet, as in daylight, and if it does AFAIK there's nothing can be done about it.

For six years I drove a Citroen BX - think my employer probably got it from a Tupperware catalogue.

Very nice Chris just need the chrome stream line coaches to go with it

Seriously, is this justification for an indoor layout? No sun to damage the plastic and no dirt to polish off.

Had to have today off to fix the boiler - the flow sensor stuck on so it as heating the water when there was no water flowing. This was quite interesting to say the least although SWMBO did not like having steam hissing out of the pressure releif valve on the boiler. Its fixed now.

Anyway I had time to give Shiny (as I call her) a run this afternoon. As this is a short line I don't have any chrome coaches but I did let Shiny pull the new tourist cars. This train is surpisingly close to modern practice. No 9973 is preserved albeit not in CBQ chrome livery and many scenic railways have converted cars into open passenger wagons. Scenic railways also sometimes to include a caboose in the train to provide somewhere for the guard (or is it conductor in the States).

So this lot could well be heading for the scrap yard (or Ebay) . Mollie (the loco) has already been scrapped due to continuous gearbox failures.
