Silver Lady Cab Doors

I'm sure most of you have seen the new-ish company Locoworks and their range of add ons for locos. After thinking about it I ordered some cab doors for my Silver Lady which, after a long 10 week wait, arrived on Saturday and I fitted them yesterday (Sunday). From looking at the website I thought it was just a case of removing the nut from the handrail, pushing the cab door on and putting the nut on again...no. The whole body had to be removed from the loco to fit them, which wasn't such a big problem if someone hadn't fitted a servo for a steam whistle next to the nut to remove the body! Which fool did that....oh...wait a minute? Anyway, I managed to fit them and I really think it sets the loco off.

Value for money I think they are great. Yes I did have to wait for 10 weeks for them but we did have Christmas in-between and I don't think Tom was aware how large the demand for his products were going to be. He always replied to emails within a few hours keeping constant communication and overall I have to say they were worth the wait. I hope Locoworks becomes a successful business, they have some great little products and I hope they keep coming!

Some picture...What do you think?

Oh and I should point out he sent some complimentary Firing irons for the delay... "I is well Chuffed" (That reminds me, I fitted a chuffer to my Silver Lady last week...very nice also!)

Hi Guys, I just had a look at his website and thought how well laid out and easy to navigate it was. I like the bits, even if they don't fit what I've got and presumably his range will expand, so I vow to look again.:thumbup::thumbup:

There is always something new everytime I look, the hex head screws were only added last week and I see he has now added a Jack to the list of locos.

Once you have bought stuff, Tom sends you an email update when he introduces a new item.

She looks great, and sounds great too. I just love the train of L&B trucks too, nicely weathered:love:

That loco looks the business Scott - and I have to admit that it sounds great too:)
I do like that whistle - at one point it sounds like a full sized one!
I am also a real fan of Tom's Locoworks stuff - he developed a range for Bertie and they are very good indeed.
Cheeers
Chris
