SOLD: LGB 2073D Swiss narrow gauge U-class DCC £150 + P&P

Another U-class but this time a very old model, probably 40 years old. This model is in the livery of the Swiss Waldenburgerbahn where it ran until 1984. I'm not sure where 298.14 is now.
There is a thread on here showing me digitising this loco.

I have fitted an XL decoder. The directional lights and cab light work, but the smoke generator doesn't, not sure why. I was planning to fit a sound decoder but it is very hard to find space inside the body for a speaker as it is filled with weights! I had to remove one of the three weights to fit the XL decoder. The removed weight and screws are included, as well as the Massoth instruction books and coupling hooks if you wish to fit them.

The loco is in quite good nick for its age - there are scratches and paint flaking here and there - and the original box is a bit battered in one corner, but otherwise sound. Note this model does not have skates, instead there are power pickups in the trailing bogey. I've not had problems with power pickup even on points but I would suggest if you want to add sound you add a keep-alive capacitor as well. It would also be better if you could restore the removed middle weight as the spring in the trailing pony truck has a tendency to lift the rear driving wheels off the track. I've already removed a turn from the spring to make it less forceful, you may need to remove another if you don't restore the weight.

Price £150 plus postage estimated at £10 for UK mainland address only. PM me if interested.

Here's a short video clip of the loco on rolling road. The noise is from the rolling road not the loco!
