"Special" figures wanted

Hello together,
I have a question about figures. I am looking for locomotive personnel in 1:22.5 scale. And in a very special way. They should not look like the "normal" people but with charisma. BUT no caricatures. Just like the figures from: Drivers & Firemen (16mm). But these are too big for my locomotives. I ordered some - they look great, but they don't fit in my locomotives.
Where can I find such figures in scale 1.22 to 1.24? Either ready or unpainted or 3D files to print yourself.
Thanks in advance

Try Volker Bauer figures available from FGB Berlin

Thanks for that - not seen those before, they are really nice (and different), a little on the pricy side but then they are hand-painted (and these days the likes of Prehm and even Preiser are not that far off in price).
Do you know if they are 3D prints or resin castings? I can't imagine they are injection plastic, as the tooling costs would surely be prohibitive for limited market items like these...?

Jon.

Not sure how they are manufactured

It's probably just me but, based on the country listings available on the FGB Berlin website, they don't appear to ship to the UK. Am I missing something or are they just eliminating the Brexit problem?

Thanks in advance.
I had not noticed that it is a couple of years since I used their mail order service try an email for a definitive answer

Those volker figures are very interesting….
a change from pola, elastolin, etc, for US distribution chains

very nice rr personnel, civilians seem a little….gritty,

i tried to find a US postal offering on the site…none…nor Canada.

interesting site, so much g scale not offered in the US.

question. Has g scale production dropped in EU …fewre buildings, frr accessories, etc?

Although not cheap - in my eyes quite expensive...
But these look the best:

Modelu – Finescale Figures

But if someone else has an idea - gladly. I'm still looking for something to print myself.
MakeHuman KLICK also seems to be very good - but it doesn't work correctly on Linux for me

1. Background

Although I am still a regular visitor to G Scale Central, I have decided to stop posting material to the website. I had previously promised to provide an update regarding the availability of products from FGB-Berlin (FGB) - as mentioned in this thread - in particular for UK based customers, so here it is.

2. Message to FGB

First, an extract from the message that was emailed to FGB.

It appears that FGB no longer supply products to ... customers living in the UK. It also seems that it is not possible ... to create an account on the FGB website.

Given the UK's recent departure from the EU ... it is understandable that European suppliers may no longer wish to trade with the UK. However, for those of us in the UK who value having a close relationship with our European neighbours, can you please advise if it is possible for UK customers to place orders with FGB for shipment to the UK?

3. Response from FGB

Next, the main part of FGB's response, received within 48 hours.

We are working on a solution. Our admin will be back for us in March and will take care of the problem.

Please understand that it will take some time until we can supply UK customers again.

4. Acknowledgment to FGB

I will acknowledge their response within the next 48 hours and provide a link to FGB so that they can access this information as published on G Scale Central.

5. Additional information

FGB's concluding statement reflects the scale of the problem being faced by many smaller EU-bloc suppliers. Attempts to re-establish trade links amidst a litany of unresolved Brexit issues may take a while.

In the meantime, here are a few details about FGB that might prove useful.

(a): FGB-Berlin, Eilertstrasse 9, D-14165, Berlin
(w): www.fgb.berlin
(e): kontakt@fgb.berlin
(t): +49 (0)30 / 8450 9900

I hope this helps.

Be safe.
