Speculation on future Bachmann Thomas range locomotive

With the Thomas locomotive drive enabling the release of James, I see 'diesel' as a near future production. Soon for release is the 'h.o.' 0-6-0 diesel #58802. The drive looks uncannily like Thomas's drive with addition of outside frame cranks. To tool up for a largescale 0-6-0 diesel would take minimal financial outlay.

Yep it would be better to leave off detail like the tension stays than include it moulded in the wrong place. To be fair any other wagon probably will be ok as few have the same sort of separate spindly wire as the tanks.
I would rather see the original Thomas locos first rather than any of the new series ones. The Emily coaches do seem a strange choice if they aren't going to do the engine though.

Even if it was a basic model how good would a class 08 be?! Prob is would it be designed with the frames far enough apart to ge-gauge to gauge 3?

I agree the tankers were a let down, but im hoping for a salt wagon or closed van!

Fingers crossed that someone makes a chassis available for gauge 3, or a detailing kit for the chassis, failing that easy to re gauge. has anyone re-gauged using the existing wheels, if so how?

The "Emily" coaches are already being marketed along side the new re-issue "Lyn" in the latest GR advertisments, guess they figured they could get double duty out of them
