For sale is my DR Black Spreewald loco, a bit of a mash up involving the analogue chassis of my green loco combined with a newer black body shell.
The loco is hardwired for analogue operation, it was DCC fitted for a short time but the decoder was not happy with the bodge I had done to make it work, it has been reverted to DC but the chassis block still has the scars of its prior conversion.
The lights on the front work when the loco moves in any direction, the circuitry for directional lighting was lost on initial conversion. The rear lights don’t work and one is missing.
The loco is also missing it’s whistle (easily broken off but easily replaced on this model)
It runs very well on analogue power, with the usual reliability of an LGB chassis block, there is also a replacement motor isolation switch in the usual position in the cab.
I’m selling this loco at the bargain price of £200 due to its incompleteness, it works well as it is or somebody can use it as a project to restore fully, with lighting and whistle and re-connecting the smoke generator (untested).
