Anyone ever replaced the lamps on a Stainz with leds
been thinking about doing this with some of mine that have blown bulbs

yellow led at front
Red led at rear with the older red lens versions, or yellow led for ones with clear lens

would need to make a new diode board with dropper resistors, prob 1k should give enougth resistance.

Thoughts?

I have done it but I used white LEDs same principle applies to all LEDS
I hard wired to the motor tags just wired them in parallel with their orientation so that one was forward biased (on) and one reversed biased (off) depending on motor polarity.
I suppose a diode board could be made to do the same job but as I use battery R/C space is a premium and wires take up less room them circuit boards

Don't know if you have seen this tool but I found it very useful when making LED circuits.
