This thread is to write down your wishes on rolling stock to be made by LGB or PIKO. (PIKO seems to listen well to their costumers for new models!!!!)

Please post a full description of the thing you want, including a link to a picture on the internet.

Example:

BR204 in blue livery,

I will send an e-mail to LGB and PIKO with all the suggestions.
Please keep this topic clean, so I can make a list without having to dig out the needed information in a whole topic full of other comments.

all US narrow gauge-(fat chance)

mason bogie 2-6-6T
22 ton or lighter shay
a fourth style US wooden side bullnose clerestory coach-like a parlor car

and for LGB standard gauge
baggage car to go with smoothside coaches (and even AMTRAK)

Ex WD Baldwin 4-6-0 (as modelled by Accucraft in live steam). Built in the USA but exported all over the world and many saw service in Europe following WW1 including the UK (Welsh Highland, Glynn Valley, Snailbeach etc.), so the market would be quite widespread.

OK, it's a 2' gauge prototype and the position of the front bogie in relation to the cylinders would make R1's a challenge, but I'm sure the rubber ruler and clever engineering could get around this.

Hmmmmmmmmm

PIKO, Nothing specific, but more of a US range of locos, maybe more road names of the up and coming mogul????? Maybe some matching US coaches?????

LGB, Not right bothered, because if they did make what id like, id need a loan to purchase it.

Anything British outline, i cant believe with UK railways being so popular that there isnt a better range of stuff. if someone brought out a Scotsman set it would sell like hotcakes
Il post a build of it when im a bit further along but anyone remember Gizzys flying hamburger ? well its 45% turned into a class 43 as my rainy day project its the only way i could see of obtaining one, its abit further along than the photo suggests having now completed a second coach body and new front and rear ends (forget the glass on the cab i was just seeing what it looked like) By the way i have the untested 55020 chip taken from it if anyone wants one for £20

For LGB, I'd love it if they could resurrect the plan to make the 0-4-0 loco from the "Factory Train" promised in 2006, as per the forum thread I started a couple of weeks ago!

Yes, that would do, though I'd prefer...
[*]The return of the LGB black Corpet [*]Reseau Breton 0-4-4-0T Mallet http://roland.arzul.pagesperso-orange.fr/rb/locomotives.htm [*]Reseau Breton 0-6-6-0T Mallet http://rail-bretagne.aceboard.fr/23...ix-Mallet-monument-Reseau-Breton-metrique.htm Don't care who builds them (Train Line, LGB, Piko or whoever), provided that instead of wasting money on wiring boards for the specific loco I get a DCC chip factory-fitted as standard!

I second the Lenz Typ I.

One of the two (or TrainLine45) should consider the DEV's very attractive elderly Hanomag 0-6-0Ts Bruchhausen and Hoya. We have them in Oe and HOm/e afterall.

...and with the IK coming from LGB, the matching Saxon baggage/guards van

Das ist alles für heute....

Rather than new I'd like to see some of the older LGB models available in the catalog next year... U-class, Frank S and the Corpet.

For new I'd be keen to see the Franco Belge KDL11 0-8-0 tanks. With clever tooling both the tender tanks and tank conversions would be possible. Used throughout Europe, some preserved including the one on the Welshpool and Llanfair in the UK!

I agree, bring back some of the old favorites. Of which I prefer the smaller locos and rolling stock.

Harz railcar to go with the 2-10-2 and 2-6-2 and the Piko Kamel

Yes, that works for me too. About 2003 I wrote to LGB to suggest just such an item, but never had a reply. :brokeheart:

Before LGB went bust and before they were brought by Marklin, they were planning to release a Desiro railcar, in both DB and OBB livery.

I would like to see this model in the shops....

This one:bigsmile:
