Summer Steam Spectacular!

Yesterday saw the CFR have its summer gala of Live Steam. We had 13 Roundhouse steam engines and 2 Roundhouse diesels. A great day was had by all and there were lots of double headers, top and tails and locos running with all different kinds of stock. The visiting public also got a great free show!

The highlight of the day was when we fired all the steam engines at once for a photo shoot in the sheds. Lots of steam coming for the safety values and you could really feel the heat coming off them!

Great video, although I have to admit, I have never seen a "Push-Pull" freight train before.

the last shot up the cutting with real train in background was magic. i know first hand it's hard but I think maybe some running was a bit quick. fantastic trains and railway thanks for sharing
