Hi all! I didn't want to gunk up the daily thread with all these videos. So, here I post. Some basic information for those who may not know:
The Railroad Hobby Show is the largest model train show in North America, if not beyond. It is run by the Amherst Railway Society in West Springfield, Massachusetts. It has been referred to as a 'show' since 1979 but was started in the 60's. Also, the organization has now started an additional event just for large scale trains called the Northeast Large Scale Train Show, which is in May this year.
Now, for the videos!
I ended up joining a local club - the New Hampshire Garden Railway Society - during the weekend and ran on the modular layout on Sunday. Here's a couple videos of my engines.
I also uploaded a video of an incredible coal train. Each car is 3D printed and finished by hand. It still doesn’t show just how long this thing is; almost 90 cars!
Finally, a general video of other members’ trains on the layout. For those who don't know, the club runs mostly battery power, but a few members do make use of the available track power on the main and branch lines. Most modules are built and owned by club members, which all come together to create a potentially massive layout called Big Green. By my estimate, it took me 15 minutes to run a full circuit of Big Green.
