The (mythical?) QSI sound card.

It is claimed on Mylargescale that the G Scale QSI Titan cards have shipped......... shock/horror/disbelief. Mainly disbelief. (Is this a sound card I hear before me?)
I shan't be holding my breath as they have been promised and promised and promised for 2yrs.
Has anyone seen/heard of one as yet?
After such a delay I doubt that I shall be tempted to put myself forward as a paying guinea pig for a goodly period of time.

Having just accessed the QSI Titan manual it seems to me that this cannot be described as a plug n play module because before commencing any part of the installation it is necessary to isolate the power feed AT THE MOTOR end.
On a Bachmann K27? - - - - - Not for me!

I would have thought that as the power drive and sound output are integrated in one unit, QSI could read the load correctly without requiring sensing the load by interrupting the current draw.
Phoenix have a "drifting" simulator which is sensed by a voltage variation or activated by an assigned trigger, which is not the same as proper current draw sensing.
Dallee has a method of sensing a load by field effect and could apply that to sound if they wished.
