Thomas' Next Adventure on the Sandwell Valley Railway

Caving, Garden Railways & more caving. Fan of TTTE
Filming has begun on Thomas and his friends next adventure - Thomas and the Seaside Special, and it will be special as it is a collaborative production with the Pine Tree Junction Film Unit. More filming is scheduled for next week and the aim is that it will be uploaded to YouTube and available for viewing before 17th July. This is a no budget spared production designed to bring a smile to the faces of all Thomas fans and a scowl to the faces of true G Scale aficionados.

Looks very exciting, and I applaud the principles behind it (not that I have anything against true G scale aficionados).

Excellent! Personally, I'm into "rivet counting" (well, to a degree), but I can certainly see the appeal of what you are doing!

I believe (OK, not going to flog that horse) that TTE is a great gentle introduction for youngsters.

I remember going to Merrivale (Gt Yarmouth) and Bekonskot as a kid, and being enthralled by the trains.

Of course, in those days we didn't have iPads etc, but....

So best wishes for a good movie - at least none of the starlets will throw a wobbly (unless they derail?) Hmm, perhaps Engines and Women have something in common! (OK, now for a tirade of "You're sexist" or "Too true, blue" comments) :D

Keep them coming, cobber!

Looking forward to the premier! ;D

Thanks very much for all of your supportive comments - they are greatly appreciated, but disaster has struck! The graphics card on the computer being used to edit the video has developed a fault and the machine has been sent away for repair. Will the partially edited video and/or the video clips still be intact when it is returned? - only time will tell. Either way the release date/premiere has been pushed back at least a couple of weeks!

Meanwhile Chris,
Personally, I'm into "rivet counting" (well, to a degree)
Well I guess we are too in a way, but it's not about the models toys (obviously), but we do have an preoccupation with trying to make sure that the setting (i.e. the garden) looks it best. We always clean and tidy up before a videoing session and remove as many leaves from the track as possible. We also try to keep the shots as tight as possible so that distracting backgrounds (fences, washing lines, houses, brick walls and so on) do not appear in the final video. We're not always one hundred percent successful but that's our obsession. Each to their own, as the saying goes.
