What a brilliant looking loco and excellant photos

Wonderful. A cracking loco. You'll be needing more hoppers!

Looks fantastic Pete was nearly tempted myself but wasn't sure it would handle the curves on my line

A beauty, probably more axles than all my locos put together.

Thanks, it romped through the 10ft radius pointwork no problem, no probs on the diamonds or the double slip, so I guess its tested just need to join up the ends of the loops and sit back finally and watch,

Blimey Old Riley that's B-B-B-BIG!
How do you lift it on and off the track except with difficulty?
I have a K27 that is a tiddler in comparison and I am trying to devise a way to run it directly into its box without handling it.

Well, Pete, a great loco, but belive it or not, the wind did blow mine off the track a couple of years ago - it was a hell of a sudden gust!

They are great locos Pete, and pull like...er...well...a train.
I have sold my ATSF one and got a Rio Grande version which I will detail to look more like the type of 2-8-8-2 that Rio Grande used.

Here's a shot for Keith..... an Accucraft K27 at 1:20.3 scale next to the 1:29 Aristo 2-8-8-2

This is the one that the detailing will follow. Westinghouse brake pumps on smoke box, air cylinders on top of boiler etc

WOW!! I like it. I like it lots. More pictures soon please.

That is worrying, atlantic gales sweep thro here every day, only time it did'nt blow is when it changes direction,

I have seen someone make the air pumps from washers on a bolt look convincing to me but I cannot find the reference any where, if you where to have some made as a pattern they would cast in white metal easily,
these the UP had were ex S Fe[, I think bit confused with everything latelyquote=beavercreek]
