Tortoise turnout bounce back

I’ve wired in several tortoise motors all but one work fine
The faulty one goes to full turn but then bounces back so carriages derail
The metal arm and the black moving piston both move back
It seems the motor thinks the position 3/4 across is the stop point
Going the other way is fine
There is no interruption in power supply which is 12 DC regulated
I’ve wired this one in parallel with another and whilst the one works fine the other is still faulty
Ideas anyone?
 
If I run it on it’s own it does the same thing and there is no grit in the system
The points move smoothly without motor connected
I am using them on G scale
The other 9 motors are behaving well
I am using a 1 mm activation wire
