I've just been to the Lincoln Garden Railway Show and bought an LGB 24410 SBB Brünigbahn Traktor. Lovely little loco. The thing is, the traction tyre is missing off the wheel with the groove in it. I have some spare traction tyres but they're all one (larger) size. Does anyone know if the new traction tyre packs have the smaller diameter ones in or any idea how I might get one?

I could, of course, take it back tomorrow but I don't really want to trail back to Lincoln!

Cheers

Jonothan, I have heard that the bottom of a coke bottle cap, the bit that is left on the bottle after opening the bottle, can be used. I remember this tip off an American web site. Alyn

Hi Steve

You're quite correct, LGB do two replacement traction tyre sizes, 46.5mm and the 37.5mm. It's the latter, smaller, size that I have and they're just too big. It seems that the 2*410 Traktor wheels are a unique, even smaller, size.

Anyway, I spoke to Peter Skinner this morning (Peter works at Kent Garden Rail and at the Hobby Company), and he has a few of these unusual size available, so he's posting two on to me first thing tomorrow morning. So, problem solved.
