traction tyre help

hi
i have two black 2-6-2 lgb loco,s i attach photo. and the traction tyres just keep coming off, they are ok when the loco run light, but as soon as i put any weight of coach behine the loco the traction tyres come off or break, as any one else had this problem. if so how can i fix it.

If they break, it sounds as if they have hardened with age. This might also explain them coming off.

Yes, how old are they? Try replacements would be my guess.

I would also say there are a lot of very old replacements out there..

Are you sure you also have the correct size? - What diameter are the wheels on your loco?

they are new bought from p&s hobbies in York , paul is a top bloke and followed his recommendation as to fitting them but i still have the same problem

Ahh, so these are not the originals as new on the loco?
