I would like to trade my GWR green Merlin Mayflower, works number 322, toward a Roundhouse Lady Anne. i like to run alot, nearly every day if I can. But do not want to put that kind of run time on the old Mayflower and wear him out. A RTR and even the kit Lady Annes are just out of reach budget wise. It as a big stretch to get the Mayflower a year ago. I am a bit picky on the color if the LA is built. A kit would really be awsome so I could paint it in the color I want(blue). My Merlin runs flawlessly, still has its original old AM RC system. He is named Smaug after the dragon. No issues that I know of. He is well care for and kept polished at all times.

Looks like you have fairly sharp curves. Just check a 6 wheeler is going to be happy before you jump in.

Lady Annes have no issues with my curves, pretty much any 0-4-0 or 0-6-0 tank engine does ok. A Katie is also high on my list, but has to be in blue. If someone would make complete replacement cylinders and side rods/valve motion for these old Merlins, I wouldn't be so worried about nearly daily running that I like to do.

Bought me another Merlin, think I have the Merlin sickness! It was on my side of the pond and a good price from a really well known live steam guy, Marc Horovitz. She is a Maestro, little use and stored dry. Between her and my Mayflower, traffic will keep moving on the railway. Here is a pic I saved from Marc.

She needs some details, Euro style lanterns, center buffers are just a couple I can see, along with a driver in the cab. Brass boiler so some additional attention to upkeep will be needed to ensure a long boiler life. Marc says its a mix of Merlin and Beck parts, and made in the late 1980's or early 1990's. Should go well with my LGB rolling stock, which I suspect was Merlins idea

Excellent!
And in green, so in keeping with your fleet's colour (color)..

Yes, awaiting a reply in the morning from the Regner dealer in the UK, he has the German style headlight lanterns and mounting brackets from Regner. But their website wont allow ordering online from the states. The engine ships to me tomorrow, so there is hope it will arrive before Christmas

I see it has the older 27Mhz radio in it (there is a '27' looming out of the cab door). You might like to consider updating this to the current 2.4Ghz stuff which is far less prone to interference.

Here the states, with most everything nolonger using the old AM frequency, my Mayflower has the same freq radio system and he actually runs really well with the original radio. I do have plans to replace it with a new set up that uses a cell phone app eventually. I ran a battery powered Aristo Dash 9 with this app last spring. They are supposed to have a live steam recieve in the works

Another great looking locomotive and it will certainly even out the wear and tear on your other locomotive.

I had one of these as a kit bought many moons ago from Mr Merlin when he was at the Engineering Show in Wembley. Gosh how many Years ago was that probably 1985 or 6. I built it and it ran just fine till I dropped it onto a Concrete Floor. Never the same after that so I named it Tracy after my x wifes troublesome Daughter. Sold shortly before I moved to St.Neots around 1999 as a project "Spares or Repair" as they call it on Ebay. Wonder if anyone on here bought it?
