Tried My Hand At Painting.

Well I tried my hand at painting, I was going for vintage Canadian Pacific colours.

I figured I'd add a little more character to these little wagons.

2 more wagons to go, I will have to get a brush and do the fine details.

Let me know what you think. I learned quite a bit in doing this wagon and the next ones will be done slightly different.

Be nice to see the completed consist once you have finished painting those coaches....

Smart :clap::clap:

Well I did some more painting . . .

three_cars.jpg that's all three cars together,

caboose.jpg here's a Buddy "L" caboose,

open_car.jpg a Buddy "L" open car,

mail_car.jpg and a mail car.

All in all I think these cars turned out pretty good. The WRF RR has an official colour scheme.

I approve, it's great to see a unified company livery rather than an odd assortment of, what can sometimes be, gaudy colours.

A nice, smart livery,although I'm not sure it works too well on the caboose. There seems to be too much yellow about. Maybe if the handrails on the body matched the bodywork behind them (which would mean that the long hand rails on the side ends would be red and grey) and above the main roof level it was all grey. The balcony rails and ladders and window frames in the main body would then be the only yellow and pull the whole thing together.

I was looking at all the yellow on the caboose as well, Luckily I haven't finalised attaching all the bits just yet. I'm pretty happy with the rest of them though.

Very smart and very effective; encourages me to repaint my two LGB 4-wheelers, but what livery? Our coaching stock is a right mixture with a rake of 3 green, and a rake of 3 maroon chinese coaches, and a pair of modified Jackson Sharpe coaches in GWR colours. Oh and the push-pull set which is in a lighter green! One day they may all emerge from the paint-shops in a standard scheme!
