I found it appropriate to snag the 150th German Railway Jubilee engine almost to the day of the 175th German Railway Anniversary jubilee celebrations that took place in der Fatherland...

The little puffer didn't come with a Engineer, so I glued one in. Also, I tapped the back lighting plug contacts and installed my own Cab interior lighting.
thanks to John at Train Crossing, the best California train shop, I picked up my first KOF engine for $50...

This is the cheapy no lights version, and no one is currently at the throttle as you can see. However, this version has 3 red colored lens caps on the back, and John says
it could be a very old version because of the red lenses.?? Regardless, I love him, and I am very fascinated by the diesel hydraulic designs of Austrian and German narrow gauge. I think this is the first of many KOF purchases!!
