I put this in another thread so am trying again under Rolling Stock?

In this add (

) are 2 Bassett-Lowke Gauge 2 wagons. I understand this gauge only lasted a short time but one Item has 5 bids & one 3.

SO has anybody on this forum seen any UK Gauge 2 layouts? (1:29 on 2" Track) I would assume layouts must exist as I have yet to find an item that somebody is not collecting.
When I worked in Victoria the BL shop was just round the corner and many a miss spent Lunch Hour was consumed in it, but I have never known of a Gauge 2 group.

I know some US made Gauge 2 stuff runs on 45mm track with 1:29 stock but is now advertised as "G" but I am asking about the old
traditional makes I think.

My understanding is as yours - that Gauge 2 died out rather quickly, being not much bigger than Gauge 1.
As did gauge 4, but somebody on evilBuy was selling a Bing Gauge 4 loco recently.

My only interest was that I understand Gauge 4 to have been 5/8" scale, ie 16mm.
This makes it the standard gauge equivalent to SM32, as Gauge 3 is to G.
"If I ever" built a std gauge siding, it would be to gauge 4 (75mm or 2-15/16").
Chris MacKenzie's Timpdon Lake Rly has a bit of this on an overbridge.
