UPvC for layout boards?

That's exactly what I do. I do use torch-on felt though, gives a sort of ballasty look.

I use soffit boards as they are a suitable width, and screw them to the ladder system. That is an up-grade from my first construction method. of just the ladder.

If I use it I will cover it with roofing felt.

Best not to use the Sandy type of Roofing felt (generally the cheepest) as rain will lift the sand on to your track creating yes lumpy running! We have been here before. This is what I use image.jpg
