Using Pads On Deltang Receivers

I know some are a little uncertain about making use of the pads on Deltang receivers, so I thought I'd put together an article on my blog outlining my experiences. I've assumed that most people would prefer not to get embroiled in reprogramming and so have tried to show how the pads on the Rx60 and Rx65b can be used without being reprogrammed for - directional lighting, interior lighting, triggering effects on soundcards and as inputs.

There's also an accompanying article showing how I trigger the effects on a MyLocoSound card with a standard Rx65b

My version of the Rx65b has header pins into which you plug connectors for an add on pcb with 4 x extra sound triggers.
I could mount 1/10" spacing screw terminals for the same price.
The terminal blocks will overhang the ESC pcb edges. They will still require inverter transistors for most sound systems.
