I seem to have been targeted by vandals over the weekend. Attached is just one picture of nine buildings smashed and just left all over the garden. This I fear is the result of holding an open day to help raise money for the local Air Ambulance, It shows the whole village what you've got in the back garden. Never again. So chaps it looks like I will have my hand full for a few weeks on major maintenance work. Most can be salvaged but I have need of obtaining some replacement doors and a few other bits for three Pola buildings, can anyone help with a web site that I may be able to obtain Pola Spare Parts from please.

Re:vandalism

Hi Peter

Many commiserations mate.

I got some windows, doors and drainpipes from this place about a year ago. Not sure if they still have them in stock
http://www.spmodels.co.uk/
They do not list the packets of spares on the website

If not try these guys:

Re:vandalism

Sorry to see this Peter?

One of the reasons I wouldn't have a 'public' Open Day, as you never know when these scrotes are about....

When are the 'private' ones then?..................:rolf:

Re:vandalism

Many commiserations, especially as you were fund-raising for such a good cause.... public flogging would still be too good for 'em.... :@:@:@

As Mike said, SP Models at Snetterton did have some - I'm sure they had a few sprues left last time I called in there - phone them rather than searching their website, and ask if they've got anything left. The good thing is that Pola re-used the same components on so many different kits, so that increases the chance of getting the bits you need.

Jon.

Re:vandalism

Sorry to here about that, it must make your blood boil, theft and vandalism has always been my biggest worry, and once it has happened the fear of a repeat occurance will always be in the back of my mind :wits::wits::wits:

Re:vandalism

That's not good. I hope you're OK. My garden is in view but luckily has a council CCTV camera keeping an eye. And I live oppsite the Police Station!

Re:vandalism

No good deed goes unpunished. You take ten steps forward and someone decides you've gone too far. I know you will get things back in order. Good luck to you.

Re:vandalism

Terrible news Peter.....the b*******s need to be incacerated in concrete.

Re:vandalism

Bridge surport on the nearest road project usally best approach

Re:vandalism

sorry to hear the news peter... hope you manage to sort it all out

Re:vandalism

Never let them have the benefit of getting you down, your better than them. Rise stronger and better and the sun will shine again.

Re:vandalism

This is why I prefer train shows to exhibit stuff. Your dealing with folks who have paid to be there. No riff-raff stumbling off the streets into your backyard.

Re:vandalism

Sorry to hear the news Peter . Don'y let them get the better of you

Re:vandalism

Since high velocity lead poisoning is frowned upon, wire the outside rail to a breaker connected to the mains, or solar powered electric livestock fencer. (Just don't forget to turn it off before you run trains -- and remember to "shovel and forget" anything you find fried every morning....)

I think that is my prefered way in the future. I only did it thinking I was helping a good cause.I have since found out that several gardens in our village were vandalized over the week end so perhaps it was random and I was not targeted. All so, two colleagues from the EMAG has notified me that they have spare doors and windows so I may well be able to rebuild without to much bother.
