Water crane and fire devil for Welshpool narrow gauge shed

Nibbs

45mm Gauge, 16mm scale narrow gauge garden railway
Hi All,
Most of the pictures I have of the narrow gauge shed at Welshpool show the water crane and a very spindly fire devil. The water crane was easy - I used the GRS kit which made up nicely. But how to make a fire devil? The problem was solved at my mother-in-laws 70th birthday party! The plastic remains of party poppers were left all over the floor of the hall and I thought to myself they would come in useful for something - and they did. You may remember I had already ready used on for the stove in Castle Caereinion signal box.
I am very pleased with the result. Now all I have to do is get on and build the engine shed!!
Cheers!

What an indecently brilliant idea!
Is there a way of getting these items without a mother-in-law? :rolf:

Grate idea! Looks the part.

Do they come in black?

Not really a party colour but they do look good:bigsmile:
