Where to buy rolling stock from?

The rolling stocks are so pricey! :@

Other than LGB/Playmobil/Piko, which are companies make compatible rolling stock?
Which is the cheapest brand and where is the best place to buy them from (other than Ebay)?
 
Slightly off track, excuse me if I have listed this in wrong section. where can I buy vehicles suitable to carry on wagons, I am looking for iems used in the construction industry lorries, diggers, caterpiller vehicles, etc. Await ideas having searched the internet for cheap models. thanks.
 
without opening a can of worms, there is still some cheep newqida wagons, boxcars and tankers, about on ebay

Just got 2 tankers for a tenner each

There are a few Japanese die-cast models in 1:22.5 and a few expensive German plastic kits otherwise you have to accept the scale difference and go for either 1:18 or 1:24 scale plastic kit or die-cast vehicles. There are also some US kits in 1:20 but no shops in the UK seem to stock them any more.
 
@gep4 - grootspoor (their site also works in English ) produce some vehicles of this sort off their own bat ("Eigene production") and also stock a number of other suppliers although the Dutch do like their very large "yellow machines" which may be too big for the rail vehicles you have in mind.
