Having finished and placed the new incarnation of the 'Lorraine's diner' (featured in this post: http://www.gscalecentral.net/m219306), < Link To http://www.gscalecentral.net/m219306, ), I have turned my attention to the township of Point Rock.
This township is in no way elegant and needed a suitably low key eating place, for the locals, for the stockyard workers and visiting cowboys and also for the workers at the nearby PointRock saw mill. Perhaps it may even get trade from the few passengers using the station.
Thus 'Mike's Road Kill Diner' has come into being.
It was a bit of a rushed project compared with the more palatial stainless steel jobbie of the last product!
To make it I used an old Aristocraft D&RGW coach that I had in the parts bin. Remove the bogies, add a bit of 'distressing, a few ads, some plastic walling to mount it on, some internal led lights with colouring to give a more 'seedy' light and a couple of signs erected in a slightly haphazard manner and a couple of lights to project onto the signs (these to be still added).
