I have been contacted by a lady who lives locally about some buildings she has that were originally on a garden railway in Zeals, Wiltshire. The signal box is named 'Zeals Junction'. Does anyone know anything about this railway, which was lifted a good few years ago I suspect?
She has 12 buildings in total, which she would like to sell as a job lot. They comprise a double road engine shed, a double track footbridge, a station complete with platform, a platelayers' hut, a small cottage, a diesel fuel store with tanks, a large goods shed, a small signal box, a large signal box, a loco workshop, a small goods shed, and a coal staithe (complete with loose coal, as I discovered to my embarrassment when I picked it up).
The buildings are nicely made, and are generic in nature rather than being scale models. They are not intended for permanent outdoor use and are made principally of wood and hardboard.
So firstly, can anyone enlighten me about 'Zeals Junction' and secondly, is anyone interested in buying the buildings? I can provide a bit more information in the form of approximate dimensions.
