A 13 year old railway

Do you buy your smoke fluid by the Gallon ?
Great pics!

:D Thanks Sean.
My stash of smoke oil is diminishing - a few years ago I bought a lite of Citronella oil and a litre of barbeque lighter fluid - and mixed them half and half, there is around half a litre left. I also have a small amount of the LGB coloured fluid left too.

I do like all my steam outline locos to smoke.

Evening All
Long time no type......
A few of you may be aware that I have been with Susan over the last two months, and have moved in with her here at Parkgate on the Wirral.
I intend to rent out my house early next year, so the Linz Gstadt Bahn will be lifted during December and stored here in its entirety in the loft.
A final running session is not looking likely at this time......

Sad news and happy news in one message.
All the best, Paul. Let's hope the Linz Gstadt Bahn will be ressurected in some form sometime in the future.

Happy news Paul.
I wish you all the best.
Carpe diem with life.
LGB stuff stores well with very little attention for future resurrection whenever appropriate.

Hi Paul,
I have enjoyed reading the continuing story of the LGB. May I wish you all the best for the future and I, like many others, will look forward to the new LGB.

Regards

Martin

That's a shame Paul, but good luck for your future happiness with Susan....

It will arise from the ashes ...

Looking at pictures of your Railway has given me much pleasure over the years. I remember your first posts (on the old GSM forum) and it grew into a fantastic example of how realistic a layout can look in G Scale. All the best for the future and don’t leave it too long before you start a new layout!

Well. Fast forward another 11 months.
the garden at our new home is huge.
far too big to cover in a railway. However, outside the study there is an area similar to the Linz Gstadt Bahn of old.
first off though a Stainz and two carriages will be running around the Christmas tree on 1st December. lots of time to mull over the new railway - scheduled to start in March.
