A better E5 base LED bulb

An important update! Pictured below is probably the ultimate E5.5 warm white LED replacement for the old LGB incandescent bulbs.

I know this is an old thread - but I need to replace some faulty coach lamps (1980's vintage coach lamp kits). Has anyone used these bulbs for a while? Successful? Being LEDs, do they require a certain power level before they light up? (I'm an old-school analogue powered-track guy.)
