No... Stainz wheels are larger diameter.

Andy - I wasn't aware of Issac, but the L&B connection is very interesting. I also have a Bachmann Lyn, so perhaps that will inspire the finishing touches and maybe even some stock...

Rob - very helpful to know that Stainz wheels are not the same - I feared as much.

However, thanks to the very generous spirit of folks on this forum I think I have a source for some spares. So hopefully we'll be running properly soon!
 
The new, similar Roundhouse Loco is currently atop my wanted list, but your loco looks superb , well done, good effort :thumbup::thumbup:
 
What a little sweetie she looks now. A real find indeed at 55 squids :thumbup:
 
Excellent value for a rather fine looking loco. ToyTrain 0-4-0s are harder to find now and quite often they will go for more than £55. I've just bought some detailing bits and pieces from GRS for a model of the Southwold No.4 (Wenhaston) which I'm cobbling together and just the bits (eg tank fillers, chimney, dome, smokebox door, etc.) has come to over £70 - so methinks you've got more than your money's worth there.

That's a great little loco, James, and you've done a wonderful job of cleaning her up and making her look presentable again!
I agree that the with the purchase price plus a little time and effort, you've got a terrific bargain loco there. :bigsmile:
