A neglected part of the CFR.

Looks like Peco track to me?

And I thought CFR was all LGB track....

Peco track indeed. The rear branch line was an exercise in the use and robustness of the Peco track. The rail profile is suitable for ore cars. I have another short section of Peco track situated in the middle road through St Bernards Station.

Nice tunnel totals ! You must have been at it for quite some time to have abandoned portions of a garden railway.....:wasntme:.....And we usually only apply that word to the 1:1 railways.

Dan, the CFR has been in existence for seventeen years in its present location. The more inaccessible parts of the railway tend to get less use and consequently get neglected and become overgrown leading to abandonment.

Temporary stop block on the approach to the abandoned branch line. It won't be long before the line reopens and the stop block removed.image.jpeg

Another neglected part of the CFR that has recently been cleared of weeds and other unwanted plants. I don't think that I have posted any pictures of this area of the CFR.image.jpeg

Excellent Casey.
The once neglected branch line is now a real asset to the layout as is the resurrection of the other area.
Nice looking layout indeed.
I think that the weeds are ready for a come-back though....another good spray of round-up will cure it!
