Accucraft Leader is the new Ragleth?

She is stunning!! I'll send u a pm tomorrow, I've got a 3 week wait for the loco. But very interested in the buffet beam. Want to do a bit more research on the real thing, not sure the body would take rivets. Also really like the blast pipe in the pics.

And as if by magic, the loco builder appears...

Berry Hill would be the name I was trying to remember earlier!

Have to say I personally think they look better in S&KLR guise than TR, but I'm a bit biased there.

You've certainly impoved her matt,she looks amazing......Allan.

No offers on Lawley then? suprised that the current batch has taken so long to sell through, I did enquire about a blue or black one but it seems when Lawley sells out there may not be another batch?

No Keith, sorry no further discounts on Lawley, it is fantastic value as it is. I know you would like to see Blue ones and it is possible another batch will be built in 2012, we will have to wait and see.

Happy steamings,

John

Here are a couple of Leaders that I have had here recently...

That is lovely Matt, can you post a picture of one you lined in full S&K Green livery, you kindly sent me a picture that I seem to have misplaced, I remember it was most stunning and exactly as the model is meant to look.

A ever I always say money spent on a good lining job enhances the visual appeal of a loco by more than the proportion of the cost.

Happy steamings,

John

I like all of 'em...Here's a pic of Leader on the right and Excelsior on the left.

since it left here the owner has de-blinged the frames and motion and fitted LEADER name and works plates, so it probably looks even better now.
Yes, I think with nameplates, oil cans, and weathering these look superb. They are very sweet runners and can pull far more than folk might expect. If I had a big rubber stamp it would definitely say 'APPROVED' :D

Happy steamings,

John

I particularly like the Green one Tony, very nice :)
Thanks John ... since it left here the owner has de-blinged the frames and motion and fitted LEADER name and works plates, so it probably looks even better now.

Would love to see a photo of that if you ever get one Tony- I spotted that on your website & really like the look of it, but thought the shiny bottom half let it down rather- too much contrast between the smokebox and footplate!

The top half looks absolutely fantastic.

I'll see if I can get a photo. I would have loved to have dealt with the chassis too, but I can only really do what the customer asks for.

Well I will probably take the couplings rods back to metal. Does anyone know who makes oill cans other than cfuffed2bits and roundhouse ? They seem a bit small. Like that pic of them on shed. Matt smoke boxes make so much difference too. Planning on scratch building some bogie paper carriers tenmille plate bogies and plastic/ wood bodies. Wonder if they had brake vans? Thinking IMP Leighton buzzard coaches could work are ImP models still going?
