They are indeed lovely wagons.

If they came as Data Only versions I would buy some, I don't run W&L trains so they would look odd.

They do; in light or dark grey, but you'll need to wait for the next batch, this batch is all spoken for.

Yep I went for data only as mine are for the T&C light railway.

One thing I noticed about these waggons is that the safety hooks are different (slightly larger) to all the other W&L stock that I have. I wonder why?

No idea but they look a bit too big to me, maybe because people want to use them and the small ones were causing derailments?

I have been informed that these wagons are In Stock at GRC for anyone who missed out on the TrackShack stocks

Just to let you know we now have more of these cattle vans back in stock at TrackShack, both the W&L type and the Data Only type.

Consideration was given to a private owner livery for the cattle vans, but the nearest we could think of would be for transporting horses with a certain supermarket logo on :-

So, having passed on that idea we are pleased to advise we have commissioned Accucraft to produce this van in the Early BR Bauxite (red/brown) livery - perfect for developing an early nationalisation feel to your garden railway circa 1948 to 1965, or just because you like this shade of red/brown that evokes childhood memories.
