Aristocraft L'il Critter loco Question

I have just received an Aristocraft L'il Critter loco. I would like to open the cab up. But before I do, would anyone have any information as to which screws hold the cab onto the frame? There are too many screws under there to rely on the here-to-fore, tried and sometimes true, Iny, Miny, Miny, Moe method.

Thanks Alec. I'll try it later today. If Beavercreek checks in we'll see what he has to say.
The instructions say to remove the screws holding the cab and hood on. Trouble is, determining which screws they are.

Well Dan
I have stripped down a fair few Aristo centrecab diesels and as the 'LIL Critter' is really a shortened version I think that the same rule would apply lwith the centre cab. There are plenty of screws much like the centrecab and it is best to strip the whole thing down as the parts on the superstructure tend to link into each other.
It is best to take the blocks off first and they are very easy as there are two screws on each side frame. With these undone the block slips out.
The A frame can then be removed if wished.
All the screws for the body are then easy to get at. Just undo all and the top parts will just come apart. The handrails might need to be popped out first.
I have based this on the centrecab disassmble but I have a feeling it ain't going to be much more different for the Lil Critter.

Good luck.

Well Mike, I should have waited to read your description. The screws holding the superstructure on are difficult to get at with the motor block in place. But I did manage to get them out. Way too many little screws to deal with. And trying to get the tiny screws that secure the side frames to the body to find their hole was entertaining.

I haven't worked on any Aristocraft locos for quite some time, as I am used to LGB stuff. So this was somewhat of a change of pace for me.

In the end I managed to get it all back together with only one of those tiny side frame screws having to be replaced by a slightly heavier screw due to stripping of the female thread.
