OK, we are now complete and tested
There were a couple of last minute hitches :impatient::impatient:
A short on the main power side - you know how it is when you've forgotten to solder a wire in place and everything's tucked away, so you think you can fix it another way - well, the other way was a short circuit :Looser: Sorted
Then we had a huge issue with the cell pack for the sound card refusing to charge. As usual, everybody waded in with helpful comments and ideas
I think it was Mel who was right, one of the battery holders was a dud - fixed with a small wire jumper - simples
So this is the sound card end, and three of the four controls can be reached through the bonnet hatch - the one you cannot now adjust is the VOLUME -

The other end houses the controls - on/off/charge + socket for power and sound - haven't got around to applying the instructions.

So , it's all bench tested, but not been on da track for clearance testing
Bench testing without rollers - simples, a strip of 12mm ply approx 30 - 35 mm wide, in line under the power trucks

Directional lighting, cab light comes on when you switch on, and then right at the last minute, I realised that forwards on the R/C was backwards on the loco - no probs with the cheapest R/C on the market, there's polairty change switches for all 4 channels

Testing when I've got shot of me cough nphone:nphone:
