If Bachmann made this in G scale I would certainly have a serious look at it for buying it.

Me too Dan, I've been hoping they would have a go since the On30 one came out. It would definitely look good trundling round a garden, although the wheelbase would need looking at.

We could rubber ruler it. then it cam be any scale you choose! :o ;)

It would get my vote (and spending money)! ;D

Looks like a good subject for a bit of bashing out of something else... :D

Sorry to spoil the party but the only way Bachmann would sell loads of those in large scale would be to stick a TtTE face on it and dub it "Hill Billy our cousin from across the water". The Yanks would go a bundle at Christmas. Is it based on an actual prototype ? Max.

Yes please Mr Bachmann,G scale :) :) :) :)

I'd be in the market for one too! :P

Thank you Paul. Very cute and interesting. One for the laser cut wood or resin makers. Or even an etched brass kit, that might be a bit expensive though. Probably a little too "niche" to sell to a wider market for the likes of Bachmann at 1:20.3 Spectrum or even as an "approximate" Big Hauler. Punt it to Ivan at IP for wood or Swift 16 for resin. Now if were to go back into producing resin/metal kits....hmm. Interesting subject. Max.

It would not happen, but Bachmann could do what LGB did with their Wismar rail bus. That is, make the drive wheels swivel on a universal joint. Ah ha, I have an LGB rail bus sitting, waiting for me to take the saw to it. Maybe a L'il Big Hauler coach would serve as the superstructure. More thought needed though.

A the end of the article in Paul's link it states:

"An excellent set of drawings of Motor "B" appeared in the May/June 2000 issue of NARROW GAUGE GAZETTE magazine. Included were several photos and complete scale drawings of the bus including the interior and chassis layouts. This article contains all the information needed to build a very accurate model of Motor "B".

A similar article appeared in the December 1997 NMRA BULLETIN. This article was written by Pete Moffat, MMR, and included photos and drawings of the bus."

Does anyone have a copy of the May/June 2000 issue of NARROW GAUGE GAZETTE or the December 1997 NMRA BULLETIN they could scan in?

I have a couple LBH coaches and the same thought occured to me, at the last show I saw a LBH bashed into a tram sort of thingy and immediatly thought it would be fun to have this On30 model bashed from the LBHs into a two or three car motor set for the Pizza
