Bachmann Thomas woes

Dan,

They look good and somehow longer too? Sure this is an optical illusion, but it works.

What are all the frosted windows for - Toilets? Is incontinence a big issue on the Isle of Sodor?

I figured out what I did with my iPhone. I had it set on "Time lapse". I must have had a "Mind lapse". Yesterday afternoon, I refilled Thomas hauling passenger and freight. Here he is in all his glory.

Apologies for the late posting of this reply.

Replacement wheels for Thomas and Percy are still obtainable direct from Bachmann.com.

Please see this posting (Paste the title into the search). They come from America and you will almost certainly need to pay a customs fee. I bought two pairs of each, just to be sure!

The frosted windows were installed to give the illusion of lighted coaches. Figures would not show well in these coaches as the windows are somewhat smallish. So I took an idea from old tinplate thinking. I could paint silhouettes on the inside however.

Dan,

I like that! - 'Life Like' still make and sell coaches with that effect in their HO 'Elevated City Rails' Set! That whole range has a great play value that so many modern model trains lack!

All my TTE coaches all have had laser cut wooden seat units that were available in the UK for a time and interior lighting. I have added frosting to one window of one of my three Xmas coaches to represent a brake, although only in one compartment.

No got around to figures as yet, not even two dimensional ones!
