Balast again

Ijust pour it on straight out of the bag, and then brush it level.After short rainful it absorbs moisture which then evaporates; A heavy downpour means that heavier brushing is needed and then I top it up;At 40centimes a bag its cheap Also note that we live in SW France where the 'running' season is quite warm (dont know how it would cope in UK!!)
 
The other problem of cat litter is, of course, cats! There's something in the litter to get cats to use ithe, so unless you've got a nicely dug flower bed for them to ruin, they'll be on your lines before you know ito_Oo_O
 
yes, we have four cats, but they seem content to use the provided litter trays in the house! Perhaps they are worried about being hit by the 6pm up train!!
